Earlier this year, I was honoured to be asked to be part of a special collection of poetry dealing with the way humans deal with both physical and emotional trauma.
Beyond The Dark
Room: An International Collection of Transformative Poetry was published on
August 27th. Poems are divided into chapters that deal with an emotion or state of
being, dealing with and/or recovering from, a traumatic experience. Chapters include topics ranging from Anger, and, Depression, and Calm, and Trust, to everything in between and beyond.
The book is
available from Amazon.com and the royalties go to

My rating: 5 of 5

This
collection of poetry runs the gamut of emotions human beings experience in
dealing with trauma and life altering events. Many of the poems are hard-hitting and blunt while others are more subtle in describing
the
anger, shock, and pain people deal with, but other poem in the book also deal with the emotions of
love and trust, of regaining
confidence, and moving beyond…emerging from the “dark room”.
